Alta and the Lyngen Alps are regions with thousands of opportunities to ski. It is not one mountain, but countless. This areas has a direct connection with the sea and the weather plays a great role in where we will ski when you are aboard. And as the forecast itself, which is only reliable for a day or two, plays the main role in where we set our course. What we can promise is that you will ski in uninhabited areas with the backcountry for ourselves.

To set an itinerary months before departure is simply not possible as the guides point out the optimal route based on the weather from the days and weeks before.

And rest assured, our IMFGA certified guides are local and knows the region and should be able to find us some fluffy powder between the pointy peaks and uninhabited fjords.

Ski & Sail in lyngen and alta

This area is also very rich in fish, so expect to get served some fresh catch during your week and remember that it is always a big chance to see the northern lights. But our ski and sail trip isn't just about the skiing.

day 1: Meeting at Tromsø / Alta Harbor

• Gather at the Harbour at 13 hrs

• Board the sailboat, discuss safety, equipment check and set sail

• Anchor in a quiet spot for the night

• Dinner on board

• If we are not skiing this spot, we will leave tomorrow early- after breakfast

Day 2 - 6 Exploring the hidden gems of Lyngen or alta and enjoying top notch skiing

We will be back either the evening before or in the morning, allowing you to plan your departure from Alta or Tromsø… But in any case, we will have a delicious breakfast together before departure :)

ACCOMODATION

Jolly has a capacity for 6 guests + 1 guide. The guests are assigned to one of three cabins on Jolly, ideally sharing with their travel companions or with another guest of the same gender. Read more about our beautiful Jolly HERE

HOT TO travel to -from Tromsø or Alta

Tromsø and Alta are accessible through its international airports, with connections from major cities, including Oslo. Once you arrive, you can easily reach the boat by taking a bus directly to the city center, where the marina is located. Easy Peasy (We will help you with all the information you need when your are booking. You're not alone!)
