ITINERARY
“We have an awesome itinerary and equally awesome alternatives in case we need to make some changes in case of bad weather. We’re all about adapting to the day’s conditions and catching the best experiences as they come. ”
DAY 1: Meeting and greeting in værøy
Check in: 15 hrs
Our journey begins in the remote island of Værøy. The ferry from Bodø has it stop just a short walk from where Jolly will be waiting (Please read theinstructions of how to go to Værøy above). After our meet and greet, we will go through our safety protocols and get to know the yacht.
Today we will hike up the famous Håen mountain in Værøy and and from there experience the panoramic views from the top of the mountain.
This hike will take around 4-5 hours and is pretty easy and if the sky is clear, we will see our whole sailing route from here. A bonus will be eagles and whales.
Day 2-3 : reinefjord - Summer paradise
Reine is a village placed on several tiny islands thats connected by bridges and molos. Also it is a perfect area for hiking, kayaking and outdoor activities. From Reine we can kayak, hike up to the renown Reinebringen, take the dinghy and head for the more accessible Bunesstranda, the options are many and it is only our imagination that sets the limits here. From here we also have the option to use land based transport in order to reach places not reachable from sea.
We should definitely not miss our on the local seafood – smoked cod is a culinary delight.
Day 4 : To Nusfjord and CATCHING THE DINNER
Our next destination is the charming village of Nusfjord, Nusfjord is one of Norway’s oldest and best preserved fishing destinations, with a long- standing tradition of seasonal cod fishing. In the ‘golden age’ of Nusfjord, over one thousand people inhabited the village centre.
But first and on our way, let's try our luck at fishing our dinner in one of the worlds most rich waters.
The waters between Reine and Nusfjord is also a hot spot for for Orcas. Maybe we will be lucky.
Day 5 : DISCOVER THE CHARMING VILLAGE OF HENNINGSVÆR
Wake and bake, early morning breakfast awaits before our 20 Nautical Miles Vestfjord sail towards the famous village of Henningsvær.
It’s probably Lofoten’s most famous village and for a good reason that we will discover together.
Henningsvær is one of those villages that makes you want to visit Norway by boat. Henningsvær has for a generations been an important sentrum for the Lofoten fishery and has a very rich cultural scene.
Day 6: trollfjorden
Sailing into Trollfjorden is like stepping into a Nordic fairytale.
The fjord’s narrow entrance, surrounded by towering rocky cliffs and dramatic peaks, feels almost otherworldly.
At just 100 meters wide, navigating through this stunning natural passage is both exciting and serene. The crystal-clear waters reflect the rugged surroundings, while seabirds glide gracefully above. Trollfjorden is a true highlight of any journey, offering an unforgettable glimpse into the raw beauty of Norway's coastal wilderness.
DAY 7: SVOLVÆR AND IT’S PANORAMIC VIEWS
Sailing back to Svolvær is the perfect way to end your adventure, surrounded by rugged peaks and shimmering waters.
Once ashore, the excitement continues with a hike up to Djevelporten, a stunning natural rock formation offering incredible views. For those seeking an extra challenge, climbing Svolværgeita—the iconic goat-shaped peak—is an unforgettable experience. Whether you’re exploring on foot or scaling new heights, Svolvær promises a thrilling connection to Lofoten’s wild and dramatic landscapes."
Day 8: Farewell
Last breakfast and good bye for now, but your adventure concludes with a plane or ferry ride from Svolvær to Bodø, from where you can catch your flight back home or continue your journey.
